Lucinda Coblentz

Lucinda Marvalene (Sprunger) Coblentz, 92, of Berne passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Envive in Berne. She was born Feb. 4, 1932, in Berne to Oscar and Emma (Hofstetter) Sprunger. She was married May 22, 1955, at First Mennonite Church in Berne to Larry Leon Coblentz Sr.
She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was a Compassion Ministry volunteer. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved raising her family more than anything. She loved spending time with her kids all the way up to her great-great-grandchildren. Loving, caring, compassionate, always smiling — she was the glue that holds the family together. When the kids acted up, she always pointed a finger and said, “Wait till your dad gets home!” She was an avid recycler and babysitter when needed.
She is survived by her four daughters, Cindy Arnold of Berne; Sonja (Dale) Bridges of Westmoreland, Tennessee; Mindy (Cowboy) Deming of Bullhead City, Arizona; and Tonja (Ernie) Serna of Olathe, Kansas; three sons, Larry Coblentz Jr. of Bellaire, Michigan; Gary Coblentz of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Barry Coblentz of Berne; sister, Clarnell (Sprunger) Smith of Berne; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brother, Omer Sprunger.
